We are gathering signatures for an international petition directed to the International Committee of the Red Cross, Amnesty International, and the United Nations, letting them know that we have not forgotten that Staff Sergeant Gilad Shalit has been held captive by Hamas in Gaza for exactly

FOUR LONG YEARS.

WE DEMAND THAT GILAD SHALIT BE RELEASED NOW! FOUR YEARS IS

TOO LONG!

Until he is released, what we are asking for is basic and simple:

THAT HAMAS ABIDE BY THE RULES OF THE THIRD GENEVA CONVENTION.

WE ARE ASKING FOR:

One Conversation.

One Doctor.

One Visit by the International Committee of the Red Cross.

And, if possible, One Hug, on behalf of his brothers and sisters from around the world who want to let him know that we have not forgotten his plight and that we stand with him.

Please read the following letter and sign the petition below. You can also forward this petition to your contacts by clicking on the share button above. Your signature will be added to thousands collected all over the world. Your name will be visible on our list after you submit your signature, unless you uncheck the box title "Display my name" below.

Dear Sir or Madam,

Four years ago, on June 25, 2006, Israel Defense Forces Staff Sergeant Gilad Shalit was abducted by Hamas terrorists and taken to Gaza, where he has remained in cruel captivity ever since. For four years, Hamas, backed by Iran, has kept Gilad in total isolation, preventing him from having almost any communication with the outside world. Hamas has repeatedly denied Gilad even one visit by a humanitarian group, including the International Committee of the Red Cross, to provide him with proper medical attention. This is in direct violation of the Third Geneva Convention.

I call upon you to demand that Hamas abide by international humanitarian law and afford Gilad Shalit his rights to proper medical care and regular visitation by a neutral party that can ensure his well-being. Moreover, I ask that Gilad be afforded the right of communication with his family and the outside world, and I ask for the immediate end to his inhumane treatment.

I also ask that Gilad be returned safely and in good health to his home and family in Israel as soon as possible.

Thank you for your immediate attention to this critical matter,

Your Signature,

ps. BULLDOZER DEMONSTRATION AGAINST PLANS TO DESTROY YITZHAR YESHIVA. NY, MONDAY, JUNE 28, NOON-2 P.M., ISRAELI CONSULATE, 2ND AVE. & 42ND ST.

To dramatize the decision to destroy a "settlement" Yeshiva in view of Administration policies delegitimizing half a million Israelis termed "settlers", a  flat-truck and bulldozer will be driven past the Israeli Consulate and the United Nations building. BULL-DOZING Jewish schools to appease Israel's enemies defies reason and morality. Those who wish may walk along the sidewalk, following the bulldozer and spreading the message that unjust demolition decrees must be revoked. Helen and Obama

scroll down to unsubscribe

Helen Antonious-Thomas, Arab-American and veteran White House reporter, was personally honored by Obama last year:

She tells a beaming, admiring Obama that she desires world peace.

But what does world peace mean to Helen Thomas?
It means ending the "occupation" (code word for terminating the state of Israel). In the following video, Helen Thomas explains: the Jews should simply go back to their homes (?) in ... Germany and Poland. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQcQdWBqt14&feature=player_embedded

Conclusions: More and more evidence is accumulating that President Obama is close to many people who are aggressive toward Israel.

He is only human and cannot help being influenced by them, so friends of Israel in the United States should continue their vigilance on behalf of Israel -- EVERY TIME Israel is back in the headlines.

Keep calling your senators and congressmen, have their numbers ready to use every week or more. Write to your local paper - and your local Jewish paper. Contact the White House - and your local religious leader. Together we will continue to stick with Israel. Because it helps. Israel is entitled to defend herself, to sell her own products without boycott, to have her own elected leaders who follow their own best judgement, to oppose emergence of new radical states, and of course -- to build in her own country without being called an "occupier".

Please pass this on.

If you wish, bcc us at: us4israel@gmail.com.

Thanks for helping Israel.
